Welcome to Unit Four of the CSPE website. This unit explores the movement of peoples, the experience of ethnic minority groups and the reality of racism in Ireland.

In particular it aims to make you aware of the extent of racism in Ireland, and the impact on various ethnic minority groups living here.

These issues are very relevant to your CSPE course and in particular to Unit Four: Ireland and the World. They are linked to four of the core concepts in your CSPE course: Interdependence, Rights and Responsibilities, Human Dignity, and Development.
